Red brick is the masonry of choice for the front porch along with white columns and a bronze metal porch roof. Here we see a fantastic example. Black dark gray or brown shingles work with a red clapboard country home and can top red brick attractively. Light olive house paint is attractive with those darker shingle colors.

Gray black darker shades of brown and some softer shades of green think celadon or grayish green can all look lovely with a red brick or similar home. It has grey tones with hints of red. The best gray house color schemes are really all about the surrounding colors and materials. I just replaced my roof on my red brick ranch house. We drove all over the place looking st new roofs. Black a contrasting shade of gray white green or blue can all pair nicely with a gray brick or painted house.

I hated to use black too stark and heat absorbing and i was thinking charcoal grey which would have been a safe choice. The problem is every solid roof i saw a variegated style that i loved. Such a roof can be reasonably expected to be some 50 to 60 degrees cooler than a dark color asphalt shingles roof.
