Apply with a sponge or a soft kitchen cloth and rinse the surface of the sink thoroughly with plenty of water. But porcelain has a tendency to hold onto stains and it is easily scratched if you try and scrub the stains off. Ceramic sinks are delicate and can easily become scratched or stained if not cared for properly. Using warm water liquid soap and a sponge gently clean the porcelain sink.

Remove stains using a mild acid like lemon juice or vinegar. A white porcelain farmhouse kitchen sink was on my shortlist of non negotiables when we renovated our kitchen back in 2012 yes it s really been that long. A couple of years ago i shared a post on showing how to clean a stainless steel sink and have gotten tons of emails asking how to clean a ceramic sink. That said it is easy to remove surface stains from porcelain as it does not stain permanently unless it is very worn and scratched.

Well last year i replaced my stainless steel sink with a ceramic one and now i can finally answer that question. Slightly moisten the sponge under running water. To keep your sparkling glazed surface apply a dilute solution of bleach every 2 to 3 days. All you need is a standard sponge a little washing up liquid and water.

Cleaning ceramic sinks is extremely easy. As the material is very dense hardly any marks can form as dirt simply cannot adhere to it. For everyday cleaning of your ceramic sink using a soft cloth or sponge with some mild liquid soap or any vinegar based cleaner is ideal. You can save money and your sink by using gentle cleansers made from household ingredients.

Made by firing a coating of porcelain a glass based ceramic material over a metal. Remove any food soap or toothpaste build up from the surface. I was willing to compromise on a lot in the name of time money or practicality but i wouldn t budge when it came to the farmhouse sink. However you should still give your ceramic sink a quick clean every day.
